Trekking is tough enough, but well worth it.
Why?: For the views, the on foot journey back in time, the genuine encounters with the local Nepali Gurung mountain people and of course the deep deep sleeps! Five to seven hours hiking up and down steep mountain valleys each day with 12kg on our backs helped. Highest point reached was 3250m with great views of the Annapurna range in the Himalayas. It was cool to think that everything within the villages we trekked to was either grown there on site or else it had to have been carried there by foot or by pony. No roads, no wheels and at the least two days walking to any town with roads. Enjoying my celebratory post trek beer in Pokhara, Nepal.
